Symptom

The theme of Symptom is about the production mechanisms and processes by which the ‘body’ evolves into the ‘individual’. It consists of the interlocking and intertwined mixture of physical and organismic properties of the body with educational, social, psychological, environmental, historical and allegorical ones. It develops in a mesh of ever-changing contradictions. These ‘bodies’ are between the everyday and the anomalous, cyclic and intersecting in time, simultaneous and concurrent in space, they are not defined by clarity, they are in the middle of the real and the virtual, between memory and reality, and the ‘momentary’ sense of reality they generate at a given time makes the whole more ambiguous. Their ‘momentary’ sense of reality at a given time makes the whole even more ambiguous and meaningless. They provide a site for symptomatic reading.
