Press Release

This marks the artist’s renewed journey into realms of deep time and speculative reality, following the evocative explorations of “Cambrian” and ” Treading in Sludge”.

In this vast landscape, Variations is perceived in a broader sense: every seemingly certain entity belongs to a family of fluctuations. An electric vehicle, a can of paint, a wooden plank—all challenge our limited understanding. Even with all our knowledge and methods, we can not fully grasp their essence. The exhibition contemplates deeper time and the world’s inherent ambiguity.

As “Object-Oriented Ontology” suggests, every object we encounter today may be akin to a black hole, an entity unreachable in its entirety no matter how we attempt to engage with it. Building on this idea, the exhibition draws in perspectives of architecture, architects, light, and humidity into a shared space—an environment teeming with the symbiosis of human and non-human elements. This is a world beyond our complete control, a world of variatioins, living and evolving alongside us.
